About The Position

Bring preventive healthcare directly to patients where they live. In this W-2 temporary/seasonal Travel Medical Assistant role, you’ll complete scheduled in-home visits across Kentucky, supporting preventive care, health assessments, care-gap initiatives, and accurate visit documentation while working independently in a mobile field setting. This is a statewide Kentucky travel position. You must be comfortable traveling regularly within assigned markets based on project volume, patient availability, geographic coverage needs, and other business requirements. Travel requirements and assignments may change throughout the project based on patient and operational needs. Weekly schedules and hours are determined by project volume, patient availability, geographic needs, and other business requirements. Weekly hours may increase or decrease throughout the assignment depending on available work. You’ll succeed in this role by combining strong Medical Assistant fundamentals with the flexibility required for mobile, project-based care. You’ll work independently across Kentucky, provide reliable clinical support during in-home visits, maintain accurate documentation, and adapt as patient volume and geographic needs change throughout the assignment.

Requirements

Medical Assistant training, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Kentucky.
Comfort working independently in patients’ homes.
Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and patient-service skills.
Ability to follow established clinical and operational protocols.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on Medical Assistant experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with Annual Wellness Visits or preventive health assessments.
Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience.
Experience with point-of-care testing or specimen collection.
Experience documenting patient visits in an EMR/EHR system.

Responsibilities

Travel throughout Kentucky to complete scheduled in-home member visits.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs, health screenings, and required patient information.
Support health assessments, care-gap activities, and assigned clinical programs.
Perform standard Medical Assistant responsibilities within your authorized scope.
Perform approved point-of-care testing and specimen collection, as applicable.
Follow established infection-control, safety, HIPAA/privacy, and escalation procedures.
Accurately and promptly document visit activities in designated systems and applications.
Stay organized across changing routes, patient schedules, and coverage needs.
Maintain assigned equipment and supplies while safeguarding company property and patient information.
Meet applicable scheduling, attendance, travel, productivity, quality, and documentation expectations.
