About The Position

This temporary/seasonal role is for a West Virginia-based Medical Assistant who is comfortable working independently, traveling frequently, and supporting preventive-care visits in different U.S. markets based on patient coverage needs. The role involves completing scheduled in-home visits, supporting Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities, and accurately documenting care in an EMR/EHR. It offers hands-on patient work with nationwide travel.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, credential, or equivalent qualification
  • Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance
  • Comfort working independently in patients’ homes
  • Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements
  • Ability and willingness to travel anywhere within the U.S., including extended and overnight assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Medicare Annual Wellness Visit or preventive-care experience
  • Home-visit, mobile-care, field-based, or community health experience
  • Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing
  • Well-Child Visit experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled in-home member visits
  • Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities
  • Take vitals, complete screenings, and perform approved point-of-care testing such as A1Cs and UAs
  • Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR
  • Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures

Benefits

  • Mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile between eligible patient visits
  • Required travel time is paid, including out-of-state travel and flights to and from assignments
  • Eligible travel expenses are covered, including transportation, flights when needed, rental car when needed, hotel, and meals
