Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Critical Care Float Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia. This role supports a resource float pool covering ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units, delivering care across a wide range of high-acuity patient populations. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for adaptable ICU nurses who are comfortable floating across multiple levels of care and managing varying patient acuity, from critical care to stepdown and med-surg environments. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 12-week contract • Night shift 3x12s (19:00–07:00) • ICU ratio 1:2–3; PCU 1:4–5; MS 1:5–6 • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Floating required across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patient populations • Manage ventilated patients, advanced respiratory support, and critical care interventions • Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies • Monitor and manage telemetry and dysrhythmias • Support neuro and post-surgical patients including stroke and TBI • Manage central lines, arterial lines, and invasive monitoring • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across multiple units • Document care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Critical Care Resource Float Pool • Exposure to ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units • Epic charting system • Strong interdisciplinary support teams Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience REQUIRED
- First-time travelers accepted
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Strong critical care background REQUIRED
- Ability to float across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg
- GA or Compact RN license REQUIRED (must be in hand)
