About The Position

We are looking for a strong operations leader to join our team as a Travel District Service Manager, overseeing the Austin–Fort Worth, Texas region. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can step into new markets with confidence, lead teams through change, and keep service running at a high level. If you are adaptable, dependable, and comfortable being the person who brings structure and stability when a district needs support, this could be a great fit. As a Travel District Service Manager, you will step into districts to provide leadership coverage when needed. This may include supporting a district during a manager’s absence, helping during a leadership transition, or stepping into a market that needs additional operational support. You will be responsible for maintaining service quality, leading field teams, supporting customer relationships, and making sure daily operations stay on track.

Requirements

  • Operations or field leadership experience
  • Experience managing people in a service-based environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Comfort stepping into new environments and adapting quickly
  • Strong sense of accountability and urgency
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays when needed
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Smartphone required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-site leadership experience
  • Experience in valet trash, route-based operations, logistics, multifamily housing, or a similar service environment
  • Experience supporting underperforming or transitional teams

Responsibilities

  • Step into assigned districts and take ownership of daily operations
  • Keep valet trash service running smoothly and on schedule
  • Lead collectors and other field team members to ensure routes are completed successfully
  • Identify service or staffing issues quickly and take action to correct them
  • Support route coverage and help fill service gaps when needed
  • Build strong working relationships with property managers, field employees, and internal teams
  • Handle service concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Train, coach, and hold team members accountable to expectations
  • Conduct property visits, route checks, and service audits
  • Review service documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Support payroll approval, reporting, and district administration
  • Travel to different markets as business needs require
