Provides leadership and direction to Store Sales Representatives in a designated District. Supervises direct reports to ensure the district achieves sales goals, service objectives, budget commitments, account profitability, and administrative commitments. May also supervise Zone Managers attached to the District. Serves as the main point of contact for large accounts by maintaining excellent customer relations at the store level. This role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of training are completed in a timely manner, working with SSRs (and ZM if applicable) on a rotational basis to evaluate performance, and communicating with SSRs (and ZM if applicable) to provide information. The position also involves identifying potential candidates for advancement opportunities and adhering to and following Human Resource Procedures. The District Service Manager meets call cycle commitments, plans and implements new procedures/projects within the District (and Zone if applicable), and ensures that all merchandising strategies are followed. They also ensure that Product Knowledge and Safety presentations are conducted as needed, that expense controls are followed, and continually seeks cost-saving opportunities. The role involves adjusting resources to accomplish objectives in the most efficient manner and assisting the Region/Senior District Manager in developing the operating budget for the District. The District Service Manager promptly responds to customer issues, monitors competitor’s products, customer needs/trends, and maintains regular communication with their Supervisor and Account Managers. When applicable, the role oversees third-party labor, including coordinating with external vendors and their management to ensure alignment with business needs and expectations. This position owns project scheduling and execution across the market, building and aligning the team to deliver projects on time, within scope, and in accordance with established specifications and performance standards.
