About The Position
DT Trak is seeking an experienced Travel Dental Assistant to support the Indian Health Service at the Red Lake Service Unit in Minnesota. This assignment provides an opportunity to serve an underserved Native American community while working within a collaborative federal healthcare environment. This is a 13-week travel assignment with extension options.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program preferred
- Current Dental Assistant certification if required by state law
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum one year of recent dental assistant experience
- Experience with digital radiography preferred
- Ability to pass federal background screening
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments
- Sterilize and maintain dental equipment
- Take dental radiographs as permitted by state regulations
- Document patient care in the electronic health record
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Follow infection control and OSHA standards
