About The Position

Montare Behavioral Health is looking for Associate Therapists for its Mental Health and Substance Use PHP/IOP program in Encino. The Therapist will manage a diverse caseload, providing comprehensive counseling and therapeutic services. This includes individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and aftercare planning for clients undergoing mental health and substance use treatment.

Requirements

Master's degree from an accredited social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology program.
Registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Health as an active associate or licensed therapist with a number.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under pressure while maintaining open and proper communication.
Ability to relate harmoniously with staff and clients of diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.
Good computer skills.
Ability to navigate an Electronic Health Records System.
Demonstrate professionalism and strong boundaries with clients, their families, staff, and visitors.
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption (for mental health program).
Submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508) (for mental health program).

Responsibilities

Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Perform client psychosocial and risk assessments.
Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Carry out the client intake process.
Provide crisis management and intervention.
Collaborate with the treatment team, including the clinical director, program director, and counselors.
Chart and document client progress.
Provide service referrals when needed.
Maintain professional relationships with staff, clients, families, and visitors.
Perform other duties as needed.
