About The Position

Montare Behavioral Health is looking for Associate Therapists for its Mental Health and Substance Use PHP/IOP program in Encino. The Therapist will manage a diverse caseload, providing comprehensive counseling and therapeutic services. This includes individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and aftercare planning for clients undergoing mental health and substance use treatment.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology program.
• Registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Health as an active associate or licensed therapist with a number.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under pressure while maintaining open and proper communication.
• Ability to relate harmoniously with staff and clients of diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.
• Good computer skills, including the ability to navigate an Electronic Health Records System.
• Demonstrate professionalism and strong boundaries with clients, their families, staff, and visitors.
• Completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• For the mental health program: DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption and submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
• Perform client psychosocial and risk assessments, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, and manage the client intake process.
• Provide effective crisis management and intervention.
• Collaborate with a treatment team including the clinical director, program director, and counselors.
• Document client progress through charting and provide service referrals as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, clients, families, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
