About The Position

This travel program offers the opportunity to work for a single company with one recruiter from start to finish and assignment to assignment. The position is responsible for delivering efficient, quality-oriented patient care by producing diagnostic radiographs to aid medical personnel in patient diagnosis in a timely and professional manner, as ordered by a physician. This includes coordinating the procedure and transmitting images to the radiologist. CT technologists operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnosing medical conditions. They also prepare patients for these procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to capture the required images.

Requirements

• Current ARRT required
• Current, valid, and active certification/licensure to practice as a Radiology Tech in the state of employment required
• Completion of CT Technology certificate program required
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels approved vendor required
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years previous experience preferred
• Hospital experience strongly preferred
• Ability to project a professional image
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care by producing quality diagnostic radiographs to assist medical personnel in patient diagnosis in a timely and professional manner when ordered by a physician
• Effectively coordinate the process for ordering the procedure and transmitting the images to the radiologist
• Operate CT equipment, which produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions
• Prepare patients for these diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician
