Travel Consultant EC

AAA•Pittsburgh, PA

About The Position

This position sells travel agency products and services and provides key travel-related member entitlement services. It serves members and non-members, adds member value by explaining other available products and services, and makes outbound calls as needed to support sales goals, including participation in the club’s social media programs. The role is trained to handle multiple transactions so clients do not need to be transferred to other areas or staff members. The Travel Advisor sells a variety of travel and travel-related products while meeting sales goals and maintaining a high level of service quality. The position requires confidentiality and secure handling of client and member information in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and club policies. Travel Advisors research and compare supplier rates and recommend trips based on client preferences, budgets, and needs. They independently analyze cruise and tour packages and providers, anticipate and prevent errors or delays, and work to resolve difficult situations, seeking branch management assistance when escalation is appropriate. Files must document actions and the reasons for decisions, and write-offs or shortages must be explained to management.
