About The Position

Comfort Keepers is hiring a Travel CNA to provide senior home care. This role involves traveling to client homes to offer one-on-one care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and light housekeeping. Travel CNAs function as call-off staff, filling in for regular personnel, and their schedule is typically determined on the day of work. While they usually work around 30 hours, they are compensated for 40 hours. The position requires exceptional attendance and the ability to work in diverse home environments, including those with pets (dogs and cats) and smoking. The travel wage is higher to account for potential driving times of up to 1.5 hours.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Exceptional Attendance Record History
• Superior customer service
• Work history that show job retention
• CNA experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Be successful in every client home
• Able to work in all homes including homes with dogs, cats, and a few smokers
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance and vehicle to use throughout the day
• Able to assist both male and female clients with personal cares
• Must have had driver's license for at least 3 years
• Clean driving record
• Must be able to drive in all areas of the territories: Brainerd Lakes areas

Responsibilities

• Assist Seniors and Veterans with all personal care needs as needed
• Provide one client per shift
• Assist clients at mealtime and monitor eating habits
• Ensure that required documentation is complete and in compliance
• Assist with housekeeping tasks
• Maintain confidentiality regarding each client
• Fill in as call off staff, not as the regular staff for the client
