About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Travel Clinical Lab Technologist for an exciting Travel job in New York, NY. This is a contract position for 14 weeks, requiring work during the night shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with 35-40 hours per week over 5 days. The role involves performing clinical laboratory testing and analysis across multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and quality control, operating and maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and compliance protocols. The technologist will document and report results, collaborate with healthcare teams, and support laboratory operations during overnight shifts, while maintaining specimen integrity and assisting with quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (NYSED License 092).
  • Primary Source Verification required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Ability to work independently in overnight laboratory operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital or acute care laboratory setting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis across multiple laboratory departments.
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and quality control of laboratory results.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Follow all laboratory safety, compliance, and hospital protocols.
  • Document and report test results accurately within the laboratory information system.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnostic and patient care needs.
  • Maintain compliance with NYC Health + Hospitals standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support efficient laboratory operations during overnight shifts.
  • Monitor specimen integrity and ensure proper handling procedures.
  • Assist with quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
