About The Position

Sprinter Health is seeking dynamic full-time Travel Phlebotomists and Travel Medical Assistants to join their team. As a Travel Sprinter, you will commute to different US cities and use your medical expertise to provide a diverse array of preventative care and diagnostic services to patients in their homes. The role involves capturing diabetic retina images, performing ECGs, recording using digital stethoscopes, and more. Successful candidates will have previous experience in venipuncture, be dependable, professional, possess problem-solving skills, and have a strong commitment to customer service. The role requires the ability to travel away from home for extended periods, work autonomously, and maintain high-quality standards. Travel Sprinters will have opportunities for advanced learning and skill expansion. Key attributes include being friendly, compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely caring about patients. A typical day involves ensuring proper supplies and PPE, using technology to access schedules and commute to patient homes, building rapport with patients, performing various services such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, and ECGs, and ensuring proper labeling and coordination of collected samples.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in venipuncture.

  • Ability to commute away from home for days, weeks, and/or months at a time.

  • Reliable transportation as you will be using your own vehicle to travel to patient homes.
  • Ability to physically access and navigate patient homes including but not limited to climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking.
  • Pass national background check, DMV check, valid clinical license search.
  • State required licensure and/or proof of training.
  • National certification for applicants in all states that do not have state level licensure requirements.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Proof of completion of course/program or certification based on licensure level.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Current Vehicle Insurance.
  • Proof of vaccination or immunity for COVID + booster (Primary Series + 1 Booster), Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis B series, Varicella, TB test (within the past year), Influenza (annual or signed exemption), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (TDaP - within past 10 years).

Responsibilities

  • Commute to different US cities to provide care in patients' homes.
