About The Position

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee high-volume retail facilities. The role is responsible for generating and executing travel center and restaurant business plans to meet established standards and achieve sales, profit, and customer satisfaction objectives. The assistant manager ensures customer expectations are met, conducts meetings with subordinate employees, and maintains effective vendor relationships. The assistant manager builds, coaches, manages, and develops teams, including staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training. Other responsibilities include driving sales, managing team members, tracking inventory, providing customer service, and performing P&L analysis. Starting pay is between $51,000 and $73,910 per year.

Requirements

At least 2–3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results.
Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
Integrity and accountability at the managerial level.
Excellent team leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
