About The Position

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee high-volume retail facilities. The role is responsible for generating and executing travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives, and customer satisfaction. The assistant manager ensures customer expectations are met, conducts meetings with subordinate employees, and maintains effective vendor relationships. The role also involves building, coaching, managing, and developing teams, including staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training. Additional duties include driving sales, managing team members, tracking inventory, providing customer service, and performing profit-and-loss (P&L) analysis. The stated pay range is $44,100 to $63,900 per year.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results.
Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
Demonstrate integrity and accountability at the managerial level.
Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
