About The Position

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee high-volume retail facilities. The position is responsible for generating and executing travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives, and customer satisfaction. The assistant manager builds, coaches, manages, and develops teams through staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training. The role also drives sales, manages team members, tracks inventory, provides customer service, and performs profit-and-loss analysis. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

At least 2–3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results.
Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
Integrity and accountability at the managerial level.
Excellent team leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
