About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Trauma Surgeons in Nashville, TN to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. Surgeons will follow patients through healing, build lasting relationships, and have clinical autonomy to direct patient outcomes. A custom software is provided to minimize administrative time.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Trauma and Acute Care Surgeons, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians are welcome.
• No previous wound care experience is required; comprehensive wound care training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries and post-surgical wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
