About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Trauma Surgeon in Richland, WA. The role involves providing clinical coverage for inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on trauma and acute care patients. The coverage period is from November 1, 2026, ongoing, with specific dates in November 2026 requiring coverage. The average daily patient volume is 15. The surgeon will work night shifts from 7pm to 7am and is responsible for performing a range of general, laparoscopic, and trauma-related surgical procedures. Collaboration with the trauma surgery team and maintaining documentation in the Epic EMR system are key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Board Certified required (minimum: Certified)
  • Active WA license or Universal License (IMLC)
  • DEA required
  • ACLS certification
  • ATLS certification
  • Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma surgery coverage for inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Manage acute care and trauma patients during night shifts (7pm-7am).
  • Perform required procedures including general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and trauma-related procedures.
  • Collaborate with the trauma surgery team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation in Epic EMR.
