Trauma Registrar- Part Time Days
About The Position
The Trauma Registrar position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine and adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, policies, procedures, guidelines, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. The Trauma / Head and Spine registry is an integral component of Trauma Service, as required by the Illinois Department of Public Health for Level II Trauma Center designation. The role includes data entry for trauma and head and spine registries, report writing, and quality improvement reports to nursing staff. The position is part time, with 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE), on a day shift.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Experience at a Level II trauma center; Level I trauma center experience preferred.
- One year of experience in either an ICU or ED.
- One year of medical experience or previous Trauma and Head/Spine registry experience.
- Ability to be organized, creative, self-directed, autonomous, and goal-oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Experience at a Level I Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Enter data for the trauma and head and spine registries as outlined by the Trauma Coordinator.
- Write reports.
- Prepare quality improvement reports for nursing staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
