Assist director with daily management of specified unit to include interview and hiring process, disciplinary process, monthly operational reports and PMPs. Assume direct responsibility for employee orientation and staff development. Integrate clinical concepts and knowledge relevant to leadership and teaching to effect improvements in unit-based nursing orientation and retention in the nursing units. Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate the unit-based clinical orientation of novice to expert nurses to assure quality outcomes. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate and serve as mentor to nurses in nursing units, assuring ongoing support and improve patient safety and quality. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
