About The Position

The Transporter moves patients and hospital equipment throughout Froedtert Hospital, including oxygen tanks, specimens, and hospital beds. The role maintains obstruction-free corridors and disinfects hospital equipment in accordance with regulations. Duties may also include monitoring designated entrances, directing patients and family members, accessing hospital systems, and answering telephones to provide general information to staff and patients. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience is preferred.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to receive and convey non-medical information.
Good public relations and communication skills.
Ability to interact well with the general public and make sound judgments in a variety of situations.
Basic telephone and computer skills.
Ability to use hospital software to obtain information is required for staff monitoring entrances.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, is required within 90 days of hire.
