About The Position

OrthoArizona is seeking a reliable and compassionate Radiology Transporter to support the delivery of radiology services. The role involves safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from radiology departments within the clinic, helping maintain patient comfort and timely diagnostic procedures while upholding patient-care standards. The position requires full-time availability and pays starting at $15.15 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely and push or pull equipment as required.
• Basic understanding of infection control and safety protocols.
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude and strong empathy for patients.
• Must be available full time.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from radiology departments using appropriate equipment, such as stretchers, wheelchairs, or other specialized transport devices.
• Ensure patients’ comfort and well-being during transit, taking into account medical conditions, age, and special needs.
• Communicate with patients to address concerns, provide reassurance, and answer questions.
• Coordinate transfer timing with radiology and nursing staff to minimize disruption to radiology schedules.
• Follow safety protocols and infection-control measures to maintain a sterile and clean environment.
• Maintain transport equipment and ensure it is clean, safe, and in good working condition.
• Complete patient-transport documentation, including tracking patient arrivals and departures.
• Assist with other clinic duties as required.
