About The Position

Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184-bed, acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. The Transporter, under the direction of the Department Director, is responsible for the safe transportation of patients by wheelchair or gurney between the emergency room, patient’s room, and departments like CT, Nuclear Medicine, or MRI. The role also involves processing daily charges generated in CT.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
General education level
Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills
Basic organizational and computer skills
Current BLS Certification
CPI is required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

Previous radiology or hospital experience preferred
May be trained on the job with experience working with geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric

Responsibilities

Responsible for the transportation of patients by wheelchair or gurney between the emergency room and the patient’s room to the C T, Nuclear Medicine or MRI in a safe manner
