About The Position
Perform maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment and lead or assist with duties as required. All duties assigned by the supervisor or lead must be performed safely and efficiently. The role includes maintaining truck and trailer tires, brakes, and lights; completing preventive and corrective maintenance; and maintaining accurate records. The technician may also operate a forklift and drive a truck and trailer.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience with general knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
- Clear understanding of and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds or more.
- Safety-minded.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Team player dedicated to the organization.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Change truck and trailer tires, make brake adjustments, and repair lights.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers.
- Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
- Operate a forklift and drive a truck and trailer.
- Follow good housekeeping standards.
- Recommend process and system improvements.
- Follow industrial safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
