About The Position

The Transportation Technician performs maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment and assists or leads duties as required. All work assigned by a supervisor or lead must be completed safely and efficiently. The role includes maintaining trucks and trailers, documenting maintenance, operating a forklift, and driving a truck and trailer. The technician is also expected to maintain good housekeeping, recommend process and system improvements, and follow industrial safety practices and OSHA guidelines. Other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience with general knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements (preferred).
• Clear understanding of and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds or more.
• Safety-minded.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Team player dedicated to the organization.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Change truck and trailer tires, adjust brakes, and repair lights.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
