Transportation Technician 8-E10 (Bituminous Lab) University Region
About The Position
This position performs a full range of responsibilities related to the daily operational needs of the University Regions Central Bituminous Lab. The position provides assistance regarding bituminous construction operations and assists in overseeing the daily functions of the University Regions Central Bituminous Lab, along with maintaining records and computer databases. Reviews and documents project records for adherence to standards. Performs engineering technical support activities, including materials testing, inspection, and compliance. This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license to collect samples and perform field reviews. The "Salary" listed above is range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (8) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E10) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.
Requirements
- Possession of an Associate's degree in concrete technology, civil technology, construction technology, surveying technology, construction management, mathematics, or computer science.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Possession of the Michigan Bituminous QC/QA Technician Certification within 6 months of the date of hire and must maintain throughout employment in the position.
