Requirements

• One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting materials and field work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Examine project records and verify that quantities, calculations, and payments follow department standards
• Participate in audits of estimates and work orders to confirm correctness and proper documentation, as well as finding and resolving discrepancies
• Use online database systems to support project documentation, reviews, and audits
• Help prepare, organize, and archive project documents according to department policy
• Support construction personnel by reviewing specifications, sampling methods, and related requirements
