The Transportation Specialist transports individuals with disabilities to and from programs and work sites. The role may be full-time or part-time and uses either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. Drivers must be at least 21 years old under state regulation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a good driving record.
• Drivers must be 21 years or older per state regulation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience transporting passengers.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals with disabilities to and from programs and work sites.
• Assist individuals with entering and exiting the van.
• Perform a daily external maintenance check on the van and report needed maintenance to a supervisor.
• Learn additional van routes as needed to provide coverage during absences and vacations.
• Maintain accurate attendance information for individuals served.
• Observe and report information that might affect services to individuals served.
