Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours a week, with part-time options available.
  • Must be able to travel for training in Dubuque, IA.
  • Must be able to work in person for the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow and train with sales and support staff to gain valuable insights into the industry.
  • Complete insurance applications, build proposals, and implement client service plans.
  • Travel with producers to meet clients and prospects, experiencing business solutions firsthand.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing high-quality service and prompt responses.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on new ideas and projects to drive company growth.
  • Engage in cold calling businesses about their insurance needs, perfecting pitch and sales techniques.
