About The Position

ATCS is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join our growing Raleigh, NC office. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on impactful transportation projects while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful engineering career. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or upcoming graduation) in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 0-2+ years of transportation engineering experience, including internships or co-ops
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or similar design software is a plus
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and design of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects
  • Develop roadway geometry, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Support drainage, utility, and transportation design efforts
  • Prepare technical reports and project documentation
  • Participate in field visits and construction observations
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and public agencies
  • Attend client and public meetings and gain exposure to project delivery processes
