Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering design.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microstation/Open Roads.
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet project budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, agency review staff, and utilities.
  • Ability to compose concise technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
  • Involve planning and design, state highway work, interchanges, roadway design, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents.
  • Be flexible, technologically savvy, and client focused.
  • Work on diverse projects requiring familiarity with state and local design standards.
  • Utilize Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Manage clients and projects.
  • Meet project budgets and schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, agency review staff, and utilities.
  • Compose concise technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
  • Handle multiple concurrent projects.
