Transportation Project Manager
About The Position
Expanding Midwest firm is looking to fill a critical role for a Transportation Project Manager in their Chicago suburb office! This role involves leading and coordinating internal teams, subconsultants, and external stakeholders on a variety of public sector projects. The ideal candidate will deliver projects for Illinois Transportation agencies including Counties, IDOT, and the Illinois Tollway. Responsibilities include developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables, as well as preparing technical reports, plans, designs, cost estimates, and calculations. The role also oversees QA/QC processes, supports proposals and business development, mentors junior staff, and serves as the primary client contact. Occasional travel to project sites is required.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in civil engineering
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning and/or design
- PE License in Illinois
- Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or other transportation design tools
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
