About The Position

Our team is looking for a qualified, self-motivated Project Manager, experienced in Roadway Design. This position would be based out of our Terre Haute office. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License in the State of Indiana.
  • Experience in mentoring and training engineers in the following areas including rural roadway design, urban street and interstate geometric design, HMA and concrete pavement design, intersection design, roundabout design, interchange design, sign and pavement marking design, cost estimating, special provisions, specifications and value engineering.
  • Knowledge of INDOT and LPA project delivery process including scheduling constraints and critical hold points.
  • Ability to think critically, manage time and problem solve.
  • Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
  • Complete competence working well independently and on a team.
  • Applicant must possess high ethical standards, have a strong sense of commitment to self-development, teamwork, and a desire to work in a deadline-driven team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years’ roadway design with 2+ years in roadway Project Management experience.
  • Proven working knowledge of Microstation, InRoads or ORD, and MS Office software.
  • Experience working with Indianapolis DPW.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a lead project manager on transportation projects.
  • Work with our marketing team to generate responses to RFP’s.
  • Perform quality control of civil design calculations.
  • Meet with clients to determine scope of services and develop contract fees for required services.
  • Lead and mentor roadway design staff (PE’s, EI’s, and Techs) on INDOT and Local Agency projects
  • Manage overall project budgets and staffing plans for your assigned projects.
  • Interact effectively with others including consulting firms partnering with HWC, INDOT staff, local government agency staff and HWC staff.
