About The Position

Apex Companies is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer to support transportation engineering projects through design, permitting, project management, and construction services. The role prepares engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents; coordinates with clients and regulatory agencies to meet permitting requirements; and supports project budgets and schedules. The engineer also develops and manages project scopes, schedules, and budgets, provides technical guidance and quality control, and assists clients during bidding, contracting, and construction. The position is with Forsgren Associates, a newly acquired Apex Company, and is listed under the Apex job title Engineer 3. The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus subject to the company program’s terms and conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Idaho, or ability to obtain it within six months.
At least 3 years of civil engineering experience.
Experience designing transportation facilities for state transportation departments and local jurisdictions.
Experience with ITD procedures and requirements.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads, and Geopak design software.
