About The Position

The Transportation Operations Year-Round Intern assists with customer service and safety within the Transportation Operations team. The intern communicates with drivers, customers, load planning, sales, claims, road service, and facilities; creates ad hoc reports; and performs administrative tasks. The role may also support fleet managers under the supervision of the terminal manager. It offers exposure to leadership and safety principles and opportunities to network across business units. The intern must be within 50 miles of the facility and able to work 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 20 hours during the school year as classes allow. The position is on first shift.

Requirements

Be a current sophomore, junior, or senior with at least one year of school remaining.
Be within commutable distance of the facility (50 miles or less).
Be able to work 40 hours per week through the summer and up to 20 hours during the school year as classes allow.
Have strong multitasking abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Be a motivated self-starter who is willing to engage with people.
Be proficient in Excel and familiar with Word and PowerPoint.
Include expected graduation date and area of study on the resume.
Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

A major in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Previous work experience in any field is beneficial.
