About The Position

The Transportation Operations Year-Round Intern assists the Transportation Operations team in supporting customer service and safety. The intern communicates with drivers, customers, load planning, sales, claims, road service, and facilities. The role includes creating ad hoc reports and performing administrative tasks, and may involve supporting fleet managers under the supervision of the terminal manager. It provides exposure to leadership and safety principles and opportunities to network across business units. Students must be within commuting distance of the facility (50 miles or less). The role requires 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year, as class schedules allow. Requirements

Be a current sophomore, junior, or senior with at least one year remaining.
Be within commuting distance of the facility (50 miles or less).
Be able to work 40 hours per week through the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year as classes allow.
Have strong multitasking abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Be a motivated self-starter and willing to engage with people.
Be proficient in Excel; familiarity with Word and PowerPoint is expected.

Nice To Haves

A major in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Previous work experience in any field is beneficial.
