About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, compliance, and performance of our fleet. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation operations while reinforcing our strong safety culture.   • Proficiency in fleet management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, compliance, and performance of our fleet.
  • Supervise and be responsible for policies and procedures, staffing, personnel requirements and training, safety and medical, cost accounting, material control, operation services, maintenance operations and interfaces.
  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Define areas and determine equipment to support the functions and responsibilities performed.
  • Determine responsibilities and functions performed, define job descriptions, interview and hire potential candidates.
  • Ensure administrative and operational needs of the employees are met through adherence to wage and benefit guidelines.
  • Develop and provide training programs to ensure consistent performance and continuous reinforcement of skills.
  • Determine the methods and areas covered.
  • Ensure programs are established and maintained to provide a safe working environment.
  • Define, establish and maintain the functions and methods required to ensure all attendance, payroll and accounts payable/receivable records are current and accurate.
  • Establish and maintain the methods required to support the procurement of material, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure methods are in place for the control of all subcontracts that provide a support service of function to the operation.
  • Establish and maintain the interfaces and coordination efforts of the WSI/ITS team to service and support the Client’s goal.
