The Transportation Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining driver relationships by understanding and meeting their needs, which include home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, and equipment issues. This role involves utilizing operating systems, customer operating systems, driver telematics, and various communication methods (face-to-face, phone, text). The manager will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on various factors while considering driver needs and availability. This position requires understanding and adhering to customer dynamics, service expectations, goals, and initiatives. The role also involves interfacing with various internal departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, and maintenance, as well as external vendors. A key responsibility is working closely with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers. Other duties as assigned and timely attendance are also expected.
