About The Position

The Transportation Host provides friendly, fast, and helpful guest service by welcoming and verifying VIP guests at the VIP lot, and registering shuttle guests. This role involves making announcements on charters, issuing Sweetwater Reward cards, stocking shuttle schedules, and completing shift reports. The position also includes inputting valet vehicle data, reporting incidents, and maintaining knowledge of casino amenities, promotions, and events. The role requires excellent phone and radio etiquette, basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, and effective communication skills. The position is subject to varying levels of crowds, smoke, and noise, and requires working outside in all types of weather conditions. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be available for multiple shifts to include nights, weekends, and fluctuating days off.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to operate computer/computer software programs, multiline phone system, copy machines, computer printers/embossers, and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift.
  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Candidate must have clear understanding of the English language.
  • Position is contingent on obtaining and maintaining a Gaming License with Gaming Commission.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Written communication skills in English may also be required.
  • Must have excellent phone and radio etiquette.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as all levels of team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and have acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service.
  • Welcome and verify all VIP guests for legitimacy at VIP lot point of entry.
  • Welcome and register all shuttle guests.
  • Ensure shuttle guests have been correctly entered into the player tracking system group manifest.
  • Make announcements on the charters regarding identification, new Sweetwater Rewards card offers, Group Fun card offers, promotions, and departure times.
  • Issue Sweetwater Reward cards to new and existing guests.
  • Stock shuttle schedules in Guest Services, Parking Garage, and the shuttle pick-up location.
  • Complete shift report including any late shuttle arrivals or departures, guest service issues, maintenance needs, driver issues, etc.
  • Greet and open doors for arriving and departing guests.
  • Input valet vehicle data into valet parking database accurately and timely.
  • Ensure prompt reporting of any incidents to Valet Supervisor.
  • Maintain knowledge of casino amenities, promotions, and events.
