About The Position

The Transportation Host provides friendly, fast, and helpful guest service by welcoming and verifying VIP guests at the VIP lot, and registering shuttle guests. This role involves checking identification, swiping Sweetwater Rewards cards, and ensuring guests are correctly entered into the player tracking system. The Transportation Host will make announcements on charters regarding important information, issue Sweetwater Reward cards, stock shuttle schedules, and complete shift reports detailing any issues or needs. Additionally, this position involves greeting and opening doors for guests, inputting valet vehicle data, and reporting incidents to the Valet Supervisor. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and necessitates knowledge of casino amenities, promotions, and events. Excellent phone and radio etiquette, basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, and effective communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be available for multiple shifts to include nights, weekends, and fluctuating days off.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to operate computer/computer software programs, multiline phone system, copy machines, computer printers/embossers, and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift.
  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Candidate must have clear understanding of the English language.
  • Excellent phone and radio etiquette.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as all levels of team members.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service.
  • Welcome and verify all VIP guests for legitimacy at VIP lot point of entry.
  • Welcome and register all shuttle guests as they arrive.
  • Ensure shuttle guests have been correctly entered into the player tracking system group manifest.
  • Make announcements on the charters upon arrival.
  • Issue Sweetwater Reward cards to new and existing guests.
  • Stock shuttle schedules in designated areas.
  • Complete shift report to include any relevant issues or needs.
  • Greet and open doors for arriving and departing guests.
  • Input valet vehicle data into valet parking database.
  • Ensure prompt reporting of any incidents to Valet Supervisor.
  • Be knowledgeable and remain up to date regarding casino amenities, promotions, and events.
