Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Eight or more years of transportation engineering experience
  • Experience delivering NYSDOT and Federal Aid transportation projects
  • Strong roadway and highway design experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing design reports, plans, specifications, estimates, and bid documents
  • Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead project teams and develop productive client relationships

Nice To Haves

  • New York Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain one shortly after joining C&S

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of projects and guide teams through complex technical and delivery challenges.
  • Have a voice in project decisions and help improve how the transportation team approaches its work.
  • Share knowledge and help younger engineers develop judgment and confidence.
  • Build relationships with clients and agency partners, becoming a trusted resource.
  • Take on increasingly complex projects and responsibilities.
