About The Position

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated engineer to work in its Transportation Group. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well with a team. The role supports or leads planning, design, and reporting on transportation projects, and includes construction oversight and construction management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Five to fifteen years of experience on a wide range of transportation projects, including roadway rehabilitation, roadway reconstruction, intersection design, traffic signal design, traffic studies, and shared-use path projects.
Be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Be willing to embrace and align with EEI’s mission and core values.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of IDOT standards and procedures, particularly Phase I and Phase II design requirements and MFT requirements.
Experience with MicroStation and traffic modeling software such as Highway Capacity Software or Synchro.
A P.T.O.E. license, or the ability and experience to obtain the license within a one-year time frame.

Responsibilities

Participate on project teams as needed for a variety of projects.
Provide support and/or serve as project lead for planning, design, and reporting on various transportation projects.
Provide construction oversight on various transportation projects.
Provide construction management on various transportation projects.
