About The Position

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated engineer to work in its Transportation Group. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication, project collaboration, and teamwork. The role contributes to planning, design, reporting, construction oversight, and construction management for transportation projects. The position may provide project support or serve as project lead. EEI states its commitment to individual opportunity and the professional development of employees.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
EIT secured or ability to secure.
Entry level to five years of experience on transportation projects, including roadway rehabilitation, roadway reconstruction, intersection design, traffic signal design, traffic studies, and shared use path projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to embrace and align with EEI’s mission and core values.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of IDOT standards and procedures, particularly Phase I and Phase II design requirements and MFT requirements.
Experience with MicroStation and traffic modeling software such as Highway Capacity Software or Synchro.

Responsibilities

Participate on project teams as needed for a variety of projects.
Provide support and/or project leadership for planning, design, and reporting on transportation projects.
Provide construction oversight on transportation projects.
Provide construction management on transportation projects.
