About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Group Leader in Charlotte, NC to grow our transportation practice in Charlotte and to provide overall leadership and effectively manage the activities of our North Carolina Transportation Group. These activities include providing the necessary planning services and engineering design resources to ensure the profitable completion of projects while meeting client quality, cost and schedule requirements. The Transportation Group Leader will be responsible for coordinating the sales and marketing resources of the transportation group in North Carolina in order to grow our Charlotte transportation practice and meet established business goals within the region. Requirements

• BS in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering services preferably in North Carolina.
• Extensive experience with NCDOT.
• Established relationships and experience providing transportation services to Charlotte metro-area municipalities.
• A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
• Strong client management and new business development skills.
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer in NC/SC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing oversight and guidance to team leaders, project managers, planners, engineers and CADD staff within the North Carolina transportation group.
• Project management.

• Coordinating the sales and marketing resources of the transportation group in North Carolina.
• Growing our Charlotte transportation practice and meeting established business goals within the region.
