About The Position

Leading U.S. engineering consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer for their Chicago office! This role involves using technical expertise to aid a multi-discipline team in the design process and project advancement, including setting priorities and developing objectives. The engineer will prepare highway/roadway and sewer plans, specifications, and estimates, and will be responsible for project permitting and preparing project reports. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and training junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of practical design experience (transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design)
• IL PE License
• Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design/standards
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads required
• Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of modeling with OpenRoads preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D software preferred
