About The Position

An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Transportation Engineer for their Cleveland team! This role involves the design and development of various types of roadway and highway improvement projects, requiring proficiency in technical design, calculations, and project documentation. The engineer will also be involved in client communication, site visits, and assisting during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 7+ years of experience
• PE License in Ohio or ability to obtain within six months
• Experience using AASHTO, ODOT Design Criteria, and FDOT Design Criteria
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation, and Geopak

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Open Roads preferred

Responsibilities

• Design/develop various types of roadway/highway improvement projects
• Develop horizontal/vertical roadway/highway alignments, design modeling, and engineering calculations
• Perform all aspects of roadway/highway design (drainage design, maintenance of traffic, pavement marking/striping and signing)
• Prepare preliminary/detailed design plans, quantities, specifications, and construction cost estimates
• Use technical expertise for the development, evaluation, selection, and modification of standards engineering techniques/procedures
• Occasional client and sub-consultant communication
• Site visits periodically
• Assist with Request for Information during construction phase
