About The Position

A Midwest multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer for its Peoria team. The role provides general civil engineering services and designs transportation, residential, and commercial projects for state, county, and local agencies. The engineer conducts engineering studies, prepares plans and specifications, coordinates permitting, and manages projects from start through completion while meeting schedule and budget expectations.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in municipal and highway transportation projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Open Roads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general civil engineering services and design transportation projects for state, county, and local agencies.
• Design residential and commercial projects.
• Design roadway, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements.
• Conduct stormwater, traffic, and other engineering studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans and specifications.
• Coordinate permitting with various agencies.
• Manage projects from start through completion, on time and within budget.
