Transportation Engineer
About The Position
Wilson & Company’s Salina, Kansas City office is seeking a Roadway PE with experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. This role involves performing roadway design and modeling utilizing Microstation/OpenRoads, leading and managing tasks on projects of various sizes, and collaborating with experienced designers, project managers, other disciplines, and subconsultants to deliver projects. The position will primarily focus on projects in Missouri and Kansas, with opportunities to support regional projects. Efficient communication and partnership with peers, senior staff, and clients are essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Kansas Professional Engineer licensed or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 4 - 7 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations.
- Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians.
- Experience in CADD utilizing Microstation.
Nice To Haves
- A background in traffic engineering design can be helpful in this role.
