Transportation Engineer
About The Position
Wilson & Company’s Midwest Team is seeking a Roadway professional with experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. This role involves performing roadway design and modeling utilizing Open Roads Designer, leading and managing tasks on projects of various sizes, and collaborating with experienced designers, project managers, other disciplines, and subconsultants to deliver projects. The primary focus will be on projects in Kansas, with opportunities to support regional projects. Efficient communication and partnership with peers, senior staff, and clients are essential.
Requirements
- 4 - 7 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations.
- Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians.
- Experience in CADD utilizing Open Roads Designer
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Kansas Professional Engineer licensed or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- A background in traffic engineering design and H&H design can be helpful in this role
