About The Position

This position is responsible for administering all types of construction projects including paving, bridge work, and major interchange enhancements. The role involves solving problems and resolving issues to ensure projects meet ODOT’s high standards. Additionally, the position oversees a team of dedicated individuals working towards achieving high-quality projects that are built on time and serve the traveling public.

Requirements

  • Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
  • 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research
  • If assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license
  • Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
  • 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration
  • Civil Engineering
